Pesticide Residues in Hydroponic Systems for Growing Capsicums
This study was carried out after it was discovered that there was a lack of information on pesticide residues in hydroponically grown vegetables. It looks to determine residue profiles of three pesticides: Apron, Confider and Vydate were applied in run-to-waste management systems under industry practice. They found that the growing medium may influence the accumulation of pesticides in capsicum, the type of growth medium used in growing capsicum may influence the amount of pesticide lost to the surrounding environment.
